The much-awaited trailer of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani was released on November 20, 2015. The veteran director’s magnum opus tracks the love story of Maratha warrior Bajirao (Ranveer Singh) and his second wife Mastani (Deepika Padukone).

The trailer begins with a slow motion shot of Ranveer Singh dressed as the famed Maratha warrior Bajirao riding a galloping horse with Mastani arriving on her horse and overtaking him dramatically. This depicts that she is very powerful image of woman.

3. Priyanka Chopra As Kashibai Makes You Fall For Her:


Priyanka Chopra plays the character of Kashibai, Peshwa Bajirao’s first wife. The actress looks Maharashtrian royalty in her entire look. The grace and peacefulness in eyes truly defines her character. She plays a very simple and devoted wife. One dialogue that made audience cheer during trailer launch was “Aap humse hamari zindagi maang lete, hum aapko khushi khushi de dete. Par aapne toh humse hamara gurur cheen liya”. This dialogue and those expressions completely showed this women is brave and stands for herself. She is “Simple, Poignant. Poetic. Sanguine, Devoted”. Intricate detailing to every character’s look, war sequences look very real and the songs are grand and beautiful. Scores of warriors in action along with long distant shots of horses and elephants as were used in the days of yore make for a compelling cinematic watch. The scene that stays in mind is the one where Ranveer jumps high up in the air to reach the top of an elephant to slay his enemy.

The man behind this epic saga, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is returning with anothing grand love story. This movie took 12 years to be made and yes, it was worth the wait. He impresses with his direction as always by expecting marshalling his characters in the complex as the trailer. This maverick filmmaker has always delivered a master piece on-screen.

 ‘Bajirao Mastani’ trailer was very grand and opulent. Well, after watching the powerful and captivating trailer of this historic saga, it seems like Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dilwale’ might have a strong competition this time as both the films will clash on December 18, 2015.
