On Day 2 of Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2016 ( March 31 ), Amrich Designs showcased their collection ‘CrissCross’. For summer 16, Amrich derived inspiration from the intersection of traditions, techniques, styles and habits. The collection features garments made using numerous hand processes. From the specially developed khadi and handwoven cotton and silk textiles to the use of ancient techniques like ikat, shibori, resist handblock printing and natural dyes.
The collection marked a new approach for the label to the treatment of handmade textiles through classic forms offered in a contemporary format. Playing with fluidity and structure, fit and flare, the shapes have evolved through the synergizing of the traditional clothing of the Orient with the classics of the Occident.
Adding to it, Designers Amit and Richard said : “For the woman who recognizes and values the understated appeal of true luxury which comes from a confluence of fine distinct look.”
